There’s no denying it: the one item of jewelry that women want or search for the most is rings! I only have to look at what they add to their “wish lists” for our DIVINE FINDS SHOP at RUBY LANE daily, and you can count on it: there’ll be one or more rings added every day. It doesn’t matter how many gorgeous necklaces, bracelets or pins we offer: our rings have the “it” factor ie. “I want it!”

And so, 80% of our stock in that shop is rings of all kinds, from inexpensive, unsigned all the way to high-end and designer signed. But what I find interesting is that with all the talk of a tough economy, the higher-end rings are what most ladies want, and they’ll do what they have to to get it. They cajole their husbands and boyfriends. They add it to their wish list. They shyly make us offers if they can’t really afford it and if we can’t meet their offer, they ask about layaway. We’re not crazy about layaway but hey, if it means that customer can get the ring of her dreams, we want to help her dream come true. Nothing gives us more pleasure, after she’s waited months to get her ring, to hear her say as one Australian lady wrote recently:
“OMG OMG OMG!!!!!! It’s even more gorgeous than shown in the photos!!! I absolutely love my new ring - it’s simply stunning and so perfect for me!”
That kind of thing makes all the effort, occasional headaches, and constant searching for new items worth the trouble as a seller of beautiful jewels, doesn’t it.
